2012 REA Young Researcher of the Year

25th May 2012

Congratulations Melissa DeVincentis, winner of the 2012 Young Researcher of the Year Award.

Melissa, along with several other Colmar Brunton Researchers nominated for awards, attended the biennial RICA REA (Research Effectiveness Awards) Gala Dinner.

Melissa's entry, "The Spice of Life" a study for Tetley, Australia’s fourth largest tea brand in terms of value, and the third largest in terms of volume, focused on their creation of entire offering for the Chai Latte category. This was inclusive of concept, positioning, packaging and product. Testing the product revealed significantly superior concept and packaging, but significantly inferior product offerings compared to competitors. A series of recommendations were implemented designed to optimise the products within the range, the outcome positively surpassing all expectations and validating the benefit of product optimisation.

All of us at Colmar Brunton would like to congratulate Melissa on her fantastic work.

The Young Researcher Award was open to all young researchers under 35 years old and in the first 5 years of their career.
